All journeys to recovery are different, but what they all have in common is a unique story behind them. Ours is no different. Founder/CEO of Lifetime Recovery, Nicholas DeSimone found himself struggling with addiction. Thankfully, he was able to reach out for help.
While in recovery, DeSimone recognized that the help he received from local recovery and treatment centers was extremely valuable, but there was still something missing. The several rehab facilities that he attended didn’t necessarily give him bad experiences. But he noticed that these programs seemed to focus only on treating the symptoms of addiction and mental illness. This approach resulted in short-term success rather than leading people to lasting change.
To conquer the disease of addiction, DeSimone searched for a solution for over 20 years and realized that long-term results and effective changes only come from utilizing a holistic approach, meaning treating the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.
As a recovering addict himself, Nicholas knew he wanted to help others struggling with their demons. In June 2017, DeSimone opened Lifetime Recovery, an addiction treatment and medical facility in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, providing various treatment and therapy services such as Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP).
